Build the list around the guest journey

Hotel lighting sourcing is easier when the product list follows the guest journey through the building. A hotel may require decorative fixtures for reception and dining areas, practical lighting for corridors and service spaces, bedside and mirror lighting for rooms, and outdoor products for entrances, façades and landscaped areas. Treating these as separate but coordinated zones helps distributors and project buyers create a clearer shortlist. Define the project type and target style before choosing models. A compact business hotel may prioritise simple, repeatable fixtures; a boutique hotel may need distinctive decorative products; and a resort may place more emphasis on outdoor wall, pathway and landscape lighting. The selection should follow the intended space rather than a generic hotel list.

  • Define hotel type and target style.
  • Group products by guest rooms, corridors, public areas and outdoor zones.
  • Separate repeatable core products from statement fixtures.
02

Start with guest rooms and repeated areas

Guest rooms combine several tasks. General lighting may use ceiling fixtures, while bedside wall or reading lights support focused use. Mirror lighting can require compatible touch switches, control components or drivers. Cabinet and wardrobe lighting may combine LED strips, aluminium profiles, diffusers, power supplies and accessories. For every room product, record location, mounting method, finish and estimated quantity. If a product is needed in more than one size or colour, list each variant separately. Corridors, stair areas and lift lobbies often use repeated fixtures, so consistency in model, mounting and visual language matters. Reception, dining and lounge spaces can then add selected decorative products that create a stronger identity.

  • Record each room location and mounting method.
  • List each size or colour as a separate variant.
  • Coordinate repeated corridor and lobby fixtures.
03

Include entrances and outdoor areas

Hotel entrances, façades, pathways, gardens and parking-related spaces require products selected for their actual exposure. State whether the installation is covered or fully exposed and describe the intended use. For solar products, share sunlight conditions and desired operating hours. For wired outdoor products, confirm local voltage and installation requirements for the destination. Do not assume that documentation, packing or weather-related specifications from a similar-looking fixture apply to another model; these points should be reviewed for the exact product code selected.

04

Prepare a zone-by-zone quotation

A useful hotel-lighting inquiry includes destination country, project or customer type, space name, product code, selected variant and quantity. Group the list into guest rooms, corridors, public areas and outdoor zones. Add required drivers, profiles, diffusers, switches, mounting items and accessories beside the main product. If custom colour, size, CCT, logo or packaging is requested, mark it against the relevant model. YARLY can discuss OEM/ODM requirements subject to confirmation for the selected product. Exact prices, packing, documentation, lead time and commercial terms should be confirmed from the final model list.
